Get ready!

Honduras is the country that is green!

At the beginning of October I decided to apply for a mission trip to Honduras that was being organized by the church I attend in Madison. All summer had been spent planning mission trips for high schoolers, so I thought it would be fun for me to be able to go on one as well! I have been extremely blessed to receive finanacial support from so many people in my life and this trip would not be possible without all of them. Even though I'll be physically in Honduras, I truly believe that it is a group effort! I am excited for the opportunity to serve in another country which is something I've never done before and to be able to speak lots of Spanish. Even though the area that we will be serving in is most likely economically disadvantaged, I'm looking forward to see all of the ways in which this community is advantaged-and i know there will be many examples of this. Too often I find myself having this mentality of me "helping" people because I am "better off", but I quickly learn how presumptuos that can be. I cannot wait to experience all the amazing things that God has in store for us.

I probably will not have computer access while in Honduras, but I will be writing about the experience when i get back and hopefully uploading photos so that you are all able to share the experience with me!

78 F The temperature in Honduras!

We are very happy to support you in this wonderful cause. What a great experience for you. Tammy and I are very proud to have you as our niece.

PS: take some sun tan lotion as a snowbird like your self from Wiscosnin is not use to the hot sun
